One-liner: The SC on Wednesday said it will fix the timeline for hearing the contentious issue of scope of powers of the Centre and Delhi govt over control of services on Sept 27.
Green bench: A five-judge Constitution bench said it will be a green bench and no papers will be used in the proceedings.
Hearing by mid-Oct: The bench said it would tentatively start the hearing the matter concerning the scope of legislative and executive powers of the Centre and Delhi govt by mid-Oct.
Validity of Centre's decision: The observation came after lawyers said a Constitution bench will start hearing from Sept 13 pleas on validity of Centre's decision to grant 10% quota to economically weaker sections in admissions and jobs along with the main issue.
