Mahesh Sreenivasan has over 25 years of professional experience as a lawyer, in-house counsel and head of Legal Dept. He holds a post graduate degree in Law and has done Post Graduate Program in Business Administration from National Institute of Technology, Kozhikode. He has also received training in Advanced Contract Law and Drafting from Euromoney, Shanghai. He has in-depth knowledge of Banking laws, Contract laws and laws relating to Infrastructure Projects.

He started his career as an Advocate in the Kerala High Court in 1994 and after practicing for four years on civil and criminal side, joined Lord Krishna Bank, a scheduled bank, as a Law Officer. In 1999, he joined Punjab National Bank and served for 9 nine years in various locations all over India. During 2003-07, while heading Asset Recovery Branch of Kerala Region, he had spearheaded the enforcement of the newly enacted SARFAESI Act and was successful in resolution of numerous chronic NPA accounts.

In 2007, he joined IFCI Ltd as Asst. General Manager and was involved in documentation for corporate loans and acquisition of NPAs. He was the Legal Expert for Govt. of UP in disinvestment of Motels, YatriNiwas, etc. of Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation and 25 Sugar Mills of UP Cane Co-Operative Society. He was the Legal Advisor to Sugar Development Fund, Ministry of Food & Public Distribution, Govt. of India. He was also a nominee Director on the board of Lloyd Electric and Engg Ltd, a company listed on BSE & NSE.

In 2013, he joined as Addl. General Manager (Legal) and presently is heading Legal and Company Secretary Dept as General Manager of RITES Ltd, a multi-disciplinary consultancy organization in the fields of transport, infrastructure and related technologies and a publicly listed PSU under Ministry of Railway, Govt of India. At RITES, he is Central Public Information Officer under RTI Act, member of various Committees and also acting as Legal Expert to various Metro Projects, including Delhi Metro, Ahmedabad Metro, Bangalore Metro and Nagpur & Pune Metro. Mahesh Sreenivasan is an avid traveller, foodie and a blogger and also manages two websites- maheshspeak.com and maheshsreenivasan.com.
