Mr. Rajendra Misra is the Executive Vice President & General Counsel of The Indian Hotels Company Limited (‘IHCL’). He is a member of the IHCL Executive Committee. He brings over 28 years of rich legal experience, having occupied leadership positions in top Indian and Multi-national corporations like Hindustan Unilever Limited and ITC Limited. Leading the Legal and the Asset Management functions of IHCL, Mr. Misra drives Strategic initiatives, crafting Legal strategy and managing Organic and Inorganic growth, apart from Strategic litigation and IP management. He has operationalized IT solutions for Contract management, IP management, and Litigation management at IHCL, leveraging technology for effective management. He has also introduced Gap analysis to reinforce the IT solution-based Compliance management system. Amongst other key initiatives, he has introduced e-learning through in-house developed Learning Management Systems (LMS) on crucial legal issues, for spreading legal awareness within the organization. He has pioneered registration of image mark of Taj Mahal Hotel & Towers, Mumbai, the first building in India to get its image registered as a trademark.

He is an Alumnus of the Leadership in Corporate Counsel program from Harvard. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Calcutta, and PGDPL from NALSAR. Mr. Misra has been featured consistently by The Legal 500 in the GC Powerlist: India, which recognises inhouse Excellence, Quality and Innovation.

He is a regular speaker in legal conferences and seminars, and has been conferred with numerous awards and accolades.
