Manager – Compliance | REQ389304:

What this job involves:

The Legal Compliance Manager specializes in local labour laws and statutory compliances, ensuring the organization adheres to all relevant regulations. This role is crucial in developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs specific to employment laws, workplace regulations, and other statutory requirements. The position requires in-depth knowledge of local labour legislation and the ability to effectively manage compliance across the organization.

Location: On-site –Gurugram, HR

To apply you need to be:

  • Post Graduate or Graduate degree in Law, with specialization in Labour Laws preferred;

  • 10+ years of experience in labour compliance

  • Knowledge of pan-India labour compliances: Candidate should have expert knowledge of labour statutes applicable in various States in India. The person should be resourceful and have a solution-oriented approach to work.

  • Should keep track of amendments in labour laws across India and analyse applicability/impact on the company and clients.

  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written communications).

  • Proficiency in MS Advanced Excel and data analytics.

  • Should be able to work independently.

Senior Executive - Compliance | REQ389332:

Location: On-site –Gurugram, HR

What this job involves:

  • Manage and monitor compliances under applicable labour laws, particularly compliances under the Shops and Establishments Act of respective States, Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Wages Act, Employees' Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, Employees' State Insurance Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Payment of Gratuity Act, Maternity Benefit Act, Professional Tax and Labour Welfare Fund Acts of respective States.

  • Ensure 100% 'Establishment Compliances' at the company offices across the country and 100% 'Contractor Compliances' at client sites.

  • Manage and monitor compliances with registrations and licenses, statutory contributions, payment remittances, filing returns, and maintaining registers and records.

  • Provide updates and guidance on new labour laws and amendments.

  • Track and provide updates on revised minimum wage notifications.

  • Manage and monitor inspection notices under various labour laws and ensure successful closure by submitting replies and required compliance documents. Draft/review/validate replies to notices under various labour laws.

  • Manage and monitor internal periodic vendor compliance audits, identify, track, and address non-compliances in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Provide support for periodic audits carried out by clients by arranging compliance documents, providing advice on statutory requirements, and answering queries.

  • Provide advice to businesses, clients, and vendors on queries regarding various aspects of labour laws.

  • Maintain compliance trackers and analyse compliance issues and status in Excel and on digital compliance tools. Provide periodic compliance dashboards to leadership.

  • Organize and schedule compliance training for stakeholders (company and vendor teams).

  • Manage and monitor the deliverables of labour consultants.

  • Guide, collaborate, and coordinate with various stakeholders such as business operations teams, consultants, and various support functions of the company.

  • Appear before authorities, if and when summoned, and represent the company.

  • Provide support to the litigation team on labour and employment-related litigation matters.
